Alice L. Williams, on February 4th, 1983 became a fraternal sister of The Lillian Gill Grand Chapter under the auspices of International Free & Accepted Modern Masons Incorporated, and Order of the Eastern Star. She brought with her - patience, faith, joy, truth, sincerity and zeal. After organizing Chapter #140 she transferred her stewardship to Lady Hartfield Chapter #083; holding positions of Associate Matron, Worthy Matron and later their Advisor.
Sister Williams prayerfully climbed the Order of The Eastern Star’s hierarchy of 13 steps, and eventually became the elected Director of the Grand Lady Knights Auxiliary (2004 - 2013), the Rose of the Seven Seals Grand College (2012 - 2017) and the Rose of the Seven Seals National Midwest District College (2017 - 2023). In 2021, because of her diligent service she was honorably invited to wear the crown of the Rose of the Seven Seals Supreme Auxiliary. In 2022, she was honored by Grand Master, Illustrious George E. Willis, 33o, and the Most Worshipful William V. Banks Grand Lodge for her many tireless years of service, feeding the hungry at our Human Needs Center (2015-2023) and served on the Trustee Board.
Sister Williams’ willingness to serve truly impacted the International Masons’ Family. We are confident in knowing that Rose Alice Williams was led, guided, and directed by the Holy Spirit.
If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to heaven,
and bring you home again.
But since I don’t have that power,
I’ll have to wait until we meet
some day in glory,
and together sing and shout the victory!
Written Upon Alice’s request by
Sister Christeen Gibson, Past Grand Matron
May your troubles be less, your blessing more, and may nothing but happiness, come through your door. "Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."
