Bennie Fay Rodgers-Howard

Bennie Fay Rodgers-Howard was born on March 14, 1931, in Henderson, Tennessee to Amos and Nina Armstrong.  Was the youngest of two children born to this union.

Bennie Fay accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Christian Love Baptist Church in Chicago, IL along with her late husband, DeWitt Howard, under the leadership of Rev. Steven Nelson.

Bennie Fay graduated high school in Henderson, TN.

Bennie Fay married the love of her life DeWitt Howard. To this union NO children were born, but she opened her heart and home and fostered several children.

Bennie Fay worked at Dresser Manufacturer where she was a supervisor and later retired.

Bennie Fay enjoyed spending time with her family and in her leisure time she enjoyed going to the Riverboat Casino.

Bennie Fay passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with her niece Celia, and friend Dorothy Avery by her side on January 9, 2022.

Bennie Fay is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, R.L. Rodgers (Dorothy).

Bennie Fay leaves to cherish her fond memories her nieces, Gloria Clare, and Celia (Terry) Bullock; 8 great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
