David Stevenson Smith

David Stevenson Smith was born May 26th 1954 to Hosie Smith and Mary Bankhead Smith (both predeceased in death )  in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from George Westinghouse College Prep David joined the U.S Navy and he was proud to be " A VET". After finishing his service, he attended Malcolm X College and joined in union with, Mona Morris-Smith who has also predeceased him in death. David remarried in 1983 to Debra J Black and created (4) children within both unions. David has reunited at heaven gates with (2)sisters: Velma Smith & Maureen Blackman, and (1) brother: Hosie Smith Jr.    

David is survived by his loving wife Debra Black-Smith and four children Darvell (Twanna) Smith, David “Dino” (Tawana ) Smith Jr. , Danielle Smith & Davina ( Sammie ) Knox-Smith. Grandsons: Dejaun Michael Smith, Darvell Smith Jr, Dre’Von David Smith, Zakery Smith, Zavien Smith, Josh Coleman-Smith; GrandDaughter, De’ja Nicole Smith, Zaria Smith; ONLY Great Grandchild: Prince Smith; David will be missed by his pets (2) cats Smoke & Beautiful (1) dog Ninja; David is loved by many extended family members & loyal friends.
