Deborah “Deb” Marie Jenkins, age 73, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Bolingbrook, Illinois, just days before her 74th birthday. Deb was a devoted mother to her daughter, Kimberly (Darryl), who was the center of her world. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to her two grandchildren, Jasmine and Darryl Harper, who brought her immense joy.
After graduating from Harper High School in June 1970, Deb courageously pursued a better future. In 1975, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she created new opportunities for herself and her daughter. While raising Kimberly, she studied Accounting and built a long and successful career with California Federal Bank. Her strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to her family defined this chapter of her life.
In June 1988, following her daughter’s graduation from high school, Deb returned to Illinois. There, she met the love of her life, James Jenkins. Their relationship blossomed into a deep and lasting partnership, and they were later united in marriage, building a life rooted in love, companionship, and devotion.
Deborah was truly the life of the party. She embraced life fully, bringing energy, laughter, and warmth wherever she went. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family. Whether gathered around her table or sharing stories during family trips, she created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, James Jenkins and extended family; her daughter, Kimberly (Darryl); her cherished grandchildren, Jasmine and Darryl Harper;
her brothers, Charles L. Webb (Darlene), Arthur E. Webb (Jackie), Juan (Ashley), and Carlos; her loving nieces, Dionne Nicole, Danielle Marie, Nichole, and Diane, Jasmine, Kennedy, and Brianna; her godchildren, twins Harold and Maliyah, and Marshana (Fancy); one loving aunt, Patricia Douglas-Caples; her best friends, Edna Duncan and Kathleen Lewis; a host of cousins and dear friends who will deeply miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. Webb and Mary Ellen McWilliams, and her niece, Charla L. Webb. Deb will be remembered for her strength, joyful spirit, and deep devotion to her family. Her legacy of resilience, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
