Niecy was born on October 24, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois the 9th child out of 12 to the union of the late Edward & Barbara Williams. Niecy confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Healing Recovery Center in Joliet, Illinois, under the leadership of Pastor Shirley A. Williams. Niecy met Rezette Terry, Jr., the love of her life; and to this union two precious children were born, Quintina, and Rezette III; and two precious grandchildren, Quintin, and Nevaeh. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Niecy’s educational life was in the school system of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Manley High School and studied at Malcom X College. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant. With this certification she started her career at Marklund Day School for ten years. She then transitioned to the Illinois State Highway Authority, where she became a Senior Toll Collector. After 23 years of service, she retired.
Niecy had a beautiful personality and a loving spirit, a smile that will light up any room. She was very caring of others, understanding, easy to talk to, and always willing to lend a hand to help others in need. One of her many traits was to cook and feed people. She enjoyed fashion and loved to dress up. She was funny, with a sweet soul, outspoken, and would love you and still tell you how it is. One of Niecy amazing qualities was the ability to welcome and harvest a spirit of love that would heal everyone.
Niecy succumb to Cancer on Tuesday morning, March 23, 2021, while at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Williams; her brother, Edward Williams, Jr., her husband, Rezette Terry, Jr., her mother, Barbara Williams; her sister, Venus; her brother, Michael; and her sister, Geneva.
Niecy leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Quintina (Leiland), and Rezette III (Ashley); six grandchildren, Quintin, Nevaeh, Alana, McKenzie, Ivy, and Noah; a Special Friend, Eddie Horton; four brothers, James, Jessie (Patricia), Ronald (Darlene), and Reginald; three sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, and Shirley; one uncle, Tony Tidwell; one aunt, Josie Crout; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
