Dianne Lucille Prince was born November 3, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Inez Prince.
Dianne attended Parkland Elementary School, and Emerson High School, graduating with the “Class of 1965” from Flint Northern High School.
Dianne transferred to Montgomery Ward here in Illinois from Flint, MI. to start her work experience in Illinois. Then she worked for Oak Park Housing Center. Then she continued her housing work experience with the Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Community and the Regional Fair Housing Center for 27 years. She worked her way up to be the Assistant Director under the Executive Director Dr. James E. Shannon. She worked for H.O.M.E. DuPage of Wheaton as a Housing Professional until she retired 2024.
Dianne began her motherhood in May of 1997 when she welcomed her baby boy, David.
Dianne confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Dianne joined Broadview Baptist April 6, 1980, under the leadership of Rev. Clarence W. Hopson. She later moved her membership to Peoples Community Church from its inception in June of 2007 under the leadership of Dr. James E. Shannon. Where she joined the Choir and Core team. She was also the church secretary and went above and beyond her duties.
Dianne was preceded in death by her mother Inez Prince, grandfather, Harry Prince, Dr., and grandmother, Pearlean Cox, sister Anita Prince-Coleman and Margaret Prince Jones, and brother Marvin Logan.
Dianne leaves to cherish son, David Burton (Zanaya); granddaughter, Aaliyah; three sisters, Teresa Chapman (Kevin), and Pearlean Prince of Flint, MI, Sherry Walker (Clarence) of Canton, MI; brother, Harold Prince of Flint, MI; uncle, Harry Prince, Jr. (Patricia) of Jacksonville, FL; aunt, Jacqueline James of Moody, OK; nieces, Sequoya Prince-Dantzer (Edquan), Shamell Wilder, Lanae Grayer, Summer Prince-Jones, Ashley Walker, and Jonae Prince-Coleman; nephews, Michael Morgan (Charda), Derrell Chapman, Charmaine Prince, Deon Grayer, Ronnie Prince-Jones, and Dion Walker; a host of other relatives including special cousins, Brenda Luckado, Marva Jean Hudson, Tyrone Booker Prince, and Dominque Prince; special friends, Charles Cooper of Kalamazoo, MI, Edna Thomas of Flint, MI, Jerri Harris, Darlene Morgan, Janise Whitman, and Savannah Johnson.
