Hollin DiMaggio Gross was born on May 14, 1941, to the union of Lovett and Isabel Gross in Chicago, IL.
Hollin attended Lewis Champlin and Englewood High School. Regarding his subjects, music was his absolute favorite, in particular Jazz and Golden Oldies!
Hollin was employed at Sears and Roebuck, in Shipping and Receiving for a total of 25 years.
Hollin departed this life on November 21, 2025, at 5:00 a.m. He greatly touched all of our lives and will forever be remembered in our hearts. Hollin is preceded in death by his father, Lovett Gross; mother, Isabel Gross; daughter, Wanakee Gross; son, Roland D. Gross; as well as their mother, Maple Gross.
Hollin leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beloved wife, Brenda Gross; daughter, Renee D. Gross; stepson, Kevin Thibo; grandsons, Austin Collins and Kevin Carr; great granddaughter, Kay-ari Carr; brothers, Loin Abdullah, Taft Abdullah (Natalie Abdullah), and Derek Gross (Barbara Gross); sister, Brenda Bazemore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
