Life began on March 3, 1949 for Jacqueline Davis in Chicago, Illinois; she was born to Barbara and Dan Davis, who preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at the age of eight years old, was baptized by the late Rev. Matthew Anthony, and attended Mt. Calvary M.B. Church located in Robbins, Illinois.
Jacqueline attended both elementary school and John Marshall High School in Chicago, Illinois.
On January 7, 1966, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Keith Gordon Simpson (who preceded her in death). To this union, two children were born; Keith Jr. and Rona Denise Simpson. Jacqueline was a devoted mother and homemaker who travelled abroad with her husband during his career as an officer in the United States Air Force.
Jacqueline was employed with B&H Janitorial Services which included servicing The O’Hare International Air Traffic Control Tower and The Grand Victoria Casino located in Elgin, Illinois, just to mention a few. This led her to become a black female entrepreneur by starting her own janitorial company (Ronkey Services), located in Bellwood, Illinois, which secured government contracts with local, state and federal agencies (she employed her children first) and then others.
On August 16, 2023, the final page of Jacqueline Simpson’s life on earth came to a close, now eternal life in Heaven.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory; Son, Keith Simpson, Jr. (Pamela) and Daughter, Rona Alexander (Edward). Six grandchildren; Natasha, Keith III, Britteny Simpson-Watts, Briana, Jonathan (Rachel) and Brittany Alexander. Seven great-grandchildren; Sean, Ni’Veea, Skylar, Deon Jr., Naila, Tiana and London. One great-great grandchild, Chozen Alexander. One sister, Dandedda Davis, one niece, Rozella Boston and nephew, Thurman Farmer, Jr all of Minnesota. Four stepsisters, three stepbrothers, a host of relatives, extended family and friends.
