Janice Broadwater

Janice Faye Broadwater, of Monticello, GA, was called home Monday, January 29, 2024, at the age of 76. Jan was a proud member of Monticello Baptist Church. She was very involved with her church, loved singing, and listening to Gospel music. Jan was a proud member of the Group 55 and Alive, Sunday school class, singing in the choir, and Project Linus. She loved playing Bridge every Sunday and hanging out with her best friend Roxanne W. In addition, she enjoyed gardening, walking, traveling, shopping, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Jan loved her family above everything.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Broadwater Sr.; parents, King, Jr., and Ollie Chandler; brother and sister-in-law, King Chandler III, and Yvonne Chandler; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine Beavers and James Beavers; brother,  Cornelius Chandler, Melvin Chandler, and sister, Joyce Ann Dunlap.

Survivors include her children, Dorlesta Broadwater, Eddie Lee Broadwater Jr. (Alonda); grandchildren, Ashri Broadwater, Ashley Broadwater, Kurt Broadwater, Arielle Broadwater, Arianna    Broadwater, Aerilyn Broadwater; great grandchildren, Elijah Broadwater and Paris Broadwater; siblings, James Chandler (Evelyn), Stanley Muhammed (Donna) Bishop Lovell Chandler, Sr., (Latricia), Manuel Fitch; sister-in-law Katie Chandler; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great aunt, and cousins.
