Joshua Coe

Joshua Howard Coe 26, passed away on September 29th 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, determination and an unforgettable smile that brightened every room he entered.

Born on February 19, 1999 to Paul H. Coe Jr. and Darlene Williams, Joshua lived a life full of spirit and purpose.  Though he was autistic, this was simply one part of who he was – never what defined him.  Joshua knew his own mind and heart, always clear about what he wanted and unafraid to express it.

His faith was nurtured by his beloved Grandmother Joyce, who taught him about Jesus and the power of prayer.  Joshua embraced this gift, developing a personal relationship with GOD that guided him throughout his life.

Joshua was a reader who found joy in books and took pride in graduating from Thornwood High School in 2019, a testament to his determination and capability.  He had his passions: computers, holding the TV remote, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.  

Joshua was later introduced to a special needs group called the “The Chicago Warriors” where they embraced him as one of their own.  The activities he enjoyed with them were bowling, movies and pizza parties.  His amazing spirit touched everyone who knew him.

Joshua leaves to celebrate his life: His father Paul H. Coe Jr, Step-mother Desma Davis, brothers, Paul H. Coe III and Devin H. Davis; Aunt Delphia A. Coe.  nephew Paul H. Coe IV and Grandfather Roosevelt Beckom and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Proceeding him in death: His Grandfather, Paul H. Coe Sr., Grandmother Joyce M. Beckham Coe, brother, Marcus H. Coe,  uncle Sean D. Coe, Great Aunt Arlene Robinson; Great Grandfather Malcolm Coe, Great Grand Mother Delphia W. Coe.
