Linda Armstrong-Davis Obituary

Linda Adella Armstrong-Davis was born on February 3, 1961, to James Howard Armstrong and Adella Armstrong. She was the second oldest of six.

At an early age, Linda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Liberty Union under the leadership of Pastor James Bishop.

Linda attended Austin High School where she graduated and continued on to Austin Career Education Center, where she went on to learn and improve her typing skills.

When Linda was young, she gave birth to her one and only baby boy, Willie Orlando Armstrong.

On July 23, 1989, Linda was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Lemuel Davis, Jr. From this union, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Linyell.

Linda loved her family. She always went above and beyond for the people she loved.

Linda's granddaughter Shayla was her everything. She even made her into a mini her. She even nicknamed her "ShaLinda". Linda also had 3 best friends; Charmin, Carolyn, & Cheryl. They all loved to party & shop.

Linda was very much a go getter. She was smart, loving, tough when it counted and very much a Diva. She landed her first job at Shell Gas Station with her father, and she also worked at McDonald’s for a short time.

Linda began working at House of Branch with Vernon Wallace and continued her journey with Vernon and Gladys Wallace to Wallace Broadview Funeral Home, where she worked for over 30 years. She loved her job and loved helping people in their time of need.

On June 25, 2022, Linda’s season on this earth quietly came to an end. Her spirit, however, will live on as the supreme diva that she was in and out. Linda had a strong and beautiful soul, and it will live on forever. Although we will miss her laugh and smile every day, she will remain forever in our hearts.

In Heaven, Linda will join her father, James Howard Armstrong; mother, Adella Armstrong; brother, Sydney Armstrong; and sister, Vernell Kindle, who all preceded her in death.

Linda was a such a firm and beautiful soul. Her strength, inner and outer beauty have been expressed by all who knew her. Linda leaves to cherish her legacy and memories, her husband, Lemuel Davis, Jr.; her son, Willie Orlando Armstrong (Tamea); her daughter, Linyell Chane’ Davis (Rashad); one granddaughter, Shayla; two brothers, James Michael Armstrong (Eileen), and James Allen Armstrong (Cheryl); one sister, Sandra Adams; and a host of bonus children, nieces, nephews, and friends.
