Mark Douglas Brown was born on October 1, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Coleman and Gladys Brown. At a young age he joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
He attended grade school and high school in Maywood, IL and graduated from Proviso East High School in 1984.
Mark was known as a reserved and humble person. In his younger years he was a part of the Henry Horner Drum and Bugle Corp Rifle Line. He worked for the Chicago Sun-Times delivering newspapers. He enjoyed listening to the Isley Brothers and loved a good home cooked meal and his junk food. A wrestling enthusiast, he liked watching WWF matches.
After living 55 years God called Mark Douglas Brown home on April 14, 2022 at 5:51am at West Suburban Hospital.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents Coleman Brown and Gladys Gray; stepdad Johnnie Gray and sister Geraldine Worthy.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: Four siblings; brothers, Marvin E. Haynes of Chicago IL, Randy Haynes of Maywood IL; sisters, Teresa Swanigan (Glenzell) of Hillside IL and LaTonya Brown of Naperville IL; three nieces, Shavonne Graham (Ramsey), LaGenét Brown and LaTiana Brown; two nephews, Semy Ransom Jr. and Joshua Swanigan; two great nieces, Semani Ransom and Raelyn Graham; one great nephew, Semy Ransom III; three aunts, Zelma Lewis, Catherine Summerville (Roosevelt) and Mary Deloney; two uncles, Pleze Haynes (Johnnie Mae) and Fred Deloney; a special childhood friend Chris Booth; and a host of cousins and friends.
