Patsy Yvonne Jones was born on December 27, 1951, to Willis and Clementine Griffin in Chicago, IL, and was the youngest daughter born of this union. Patsy attended Proviso East High School in Maywood, IL, and graduated in 1971. Patsy met and married Eddie Jones in 1972, and to this union Marques was born in 1975, and Jones was born in 1979.
Patsy was full of life, and often the life of any party. She was fond of dancing and family times with her loved ones. Patsy had a heart of gold, and a smile for anyone who took time to have a conversation with her. She was very creative, from being a professional beautician, to hanging wallpaper, and creating flower arrangements. It was hard for her just to sit and relax, as she was always doing something. She also loved spending time hanging out with her sisters, and have their own little shopping trips.
Patsy departed this life on April 8, 2023, and the one thing she made clear before her transition was, she didn’t want any sadness at her service.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Clementine Griffin; husbands, Eddie Jones, and Micheal Binion; sisters, Allie Coleman, and Barbara Miller; nieces, Tonya Griffin, and Sanetha Miller; nephew, Kenneth Griffin; and goddaughter, LaTrice Richardson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Marques (Eboney), and Jason (Paula); grandchildren, Jordan, Marques Jr., Jayla, Heaven, Ariel, Arieon, Milaun, Jason Jr., Elacia, Jamond, and Elijah; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Kaylani Jones; sister, Dorothy Edwards; brother, Cliff Ormond; brother in-law, Willard Jones; sisters in-law, Thelma Southworth, Martha Edwards, Betty Anderson, and Barbara Jones-Odell; god son, Terrance Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
