Reginald Vincent Baxter was born on February 9, 1961, to the parents of Jimmy L. Tompkins and Ozella Baxter, in Itta Bena, Mississippi. He relocated to Chicago, with his mother, and was educated in the Chicago School System. He accepted Christ and later joined the Armed Forces and became a Military Policeman.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Ozella Thomas (Tommy); three brothers, Barry (Yvette) Baxter of Kinston, NC, Dwight (Arlinda) Baxter of Bellwood, IL, and Alan Baxter (Karen) Covington of Savannah, TX; two uncles, Russell A. (Tanisha) Baxter of Greenwood, MS, and Roger L. Baxter of Greenwood, MS; three aunts, Willie E. McGee of Itta Bena, MS, Cassandra Hansbrough (Tracy) of Greenwood, MS, and Barbara White of Itta Bena, MS; and a host of relatives and friends.
