Ruth Daniels was born on May 27, 1927, in Lorman, Mississippi to the late Reverend Alex and Lucinda Williams. She was the ninth of twelve children. One son Herman, Jr., two daughters; Dorothy Sharp and MaryJane McCoats, one stepson Lemmie Daniels, six sisters, and five brothers preceded her in death.
Ruth received Christ at an early age and joined Walls Hills Baptist Church in Lorman, Mississippi at the age of five.
Ruth was united in Matrimony to the late Herman Daniels, Sr., and to this union six children was born: Dorothy, Mary Louise, Herman, Jr., Willie James, MaryJane, and Ethel. They later moved to Illinois, where she became a faithful servant at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Reverend Thomas H. Wade, Sr., and remained a faithful member under the leadership of Reverend Marvin E. Wiley. Ruth served as a member in the Gospel Choir, and a member of the Compassion team as the Condolence clerk. Ruth was a devoted worker in the church and loved helping people.
Ruth’s loving and accepting nature made her a job to be around. Her love for the Lord was unparalleled, she relied on God and his provision in all aspects of her life, her faith was an amazing testament to Jesus’ love and grace. Ruth will be sorely missed by her family. We thank God for allowing her to share her grace, love, knowledge, and guidance with us for 95 years. We praise God for the sure knowledge that we who believe will join her in our true home that Jesus has gone ahead to prepare for all believers.
Ruth made her heavenly transition on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Ruth was adorned by and leaves behind to celebrate her life: one son, Willie Daniels (Leann), two daughters: Mary Louise Hale, and Ethel Flanders; one son-in-law Stewart Sharp; two daughters-in-law: Pearlie and Mattie Daniels, sixteen grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, eighty-five great great grandchildren, one great great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
