Sherwood Sanders was born on September 30, 1960, at Cook County Hospital, to the union of Alberta Sanders-Womack and Willie Robinson.

Sherwood was affiliated with Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church, Presiding Pastor John Nabars.

Sherwood Sanders received his highest education at Proviso East High School.

Sherwood was a retired forklift operator.

On August 30, 2021, Sherwood went to be with the Lord.

Sherwood leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Alberta Sanders-Womack; father, Willie Robinson; as well as his siblings, Willie (Antionette) Carl, Anthony (Michelle) Chauncey, Larry, Lester, and Ivy Jean; an aunt, Percy Burse; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
