Stephanie Grisby

Stephanie Grisby also known as Step, Flupe and lil Lucy was born January 5, 1970 in Chicago Illinois, to the late Annie and Charles Grisby.

The lovely songbird accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed singing in the New St. Matthews adult choir.

Stephanie was a vibrant firecracker, with an unforgettable personality. She would passionately stand up for what she believed in and loved her family deeply. Stephanie was the life of the party, the dancer and the joker who would never shy away from a debate.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her first born grandson Nasir Washington, who was her heart; three children, Destiny Grisby, Jhemeka Baldwin and Steve Baldwin; two sisters, Brenda Grisby and Angela Turner; two brothers, Charles Grisby and Carl Grisby;16 nieces and nephews; and a host of family members who will keep her memory alive. Stephanie was preceded in death by her youngest daughter Starr Baldwin and baby brothers Keith Grisby and Troy Turner.

Her endearing saying will echo through time “just me wrapped up real tight, loving me”. She will forever be missed by all who encountered her spirit. To God be the glory that now she may rest in his arms!!!
