Terry Ann Jones also known as Waconda Eel was born on October 9, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Earline Jones and the Late Willie Jones Jr. Terry accepted Christ at an early age. She departed this life on Friday November 29, 2024. She received her elementary and high school education in Chicago, IL; She graduated from Crane High School at the age of 16. She attended Bartlett College of Lake Forest, IL and Malcolm X College of Chicago; where she earned a Bachelor and Master’s Degree.

Terry was a dedicated member of the Black Panther Party, focusing on community development. She played a crucial role in assisting those in need, contributing to the organization's mission. During that time she changed her name to “Waconda Eel.” Throughout her involvement, she formed a group called the “Baby Rebels.” The group severed breakfast to the kids from the projects before going to school.
Terry had a son whom she named after her father, Willie. She adored spending time with her loved ones and had a profound impact on her community, where she was a person with great interest; if you ever met her she would of left you with knowledge and laughter.

Terry embodied the spirit of community activism, volunteering her time to support those in need and harnessing her voice to drive positive change.
The remarkable life's work of Terry was a powerful testament to the human spirit's capacity for kindness and compassion, leaving an enduring legacy of generosity and goodwill that will be cherished for generations to come. Terry’s shy personality and friendliness would’ve drawn you closer to her.
