Valerie Evans-Grady was born to Christellen Chandler and Robert Gladys on November 3, 1962, in Chicago, IL.
Valerie attended West Garfield Middle School and later attended John Marshall High School where she graduated in 1981.
Valerie accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Mt. Pilgrim M.B. Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. John Petty. She continued her faith journey at Christ Tabernacle M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Milton Brunson. She currently was a member of Fellowship M.B. Church where her Pastor is Reginald Sharpe.
Valerie loved spending time with family, especially her grandsons.
Valerie married Eugene Grady March 2004, and to that union a son was born, Blake Grady.
On September 9, 2021, Valerie went home to be with the Lord. In heaven, Valerie will join her mother, Christellen; grandmother, Annabell Evans; her son, Blake Grady; and granddaughter, Journee Lashae Grady, who all preceded her in death.
Valerie leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Eugene Grady; one daughter, Adoration Nicole Patton; two grandsons, Darien J. Patton, and Ziare A. Patton; three sisters, Vanessa (her twin) (Roger), Patricia, and Beverly Evans, all of Chicago, IL; two uncles, Marshall Evans (Three Rivers, MI), and Tyrone Evans; three aunts, Ann Howard, Yvonne Chandler, and Francine Evans; one favorite cousin, Andre Delano; and a host of cousins, and a very special best friend, Madeline Acevedo.
